“Amazing views, excellent room and service”

There is little one can add to the positive reviews by others. This is an unusually fine place, with commanding views over the City of St. George to the east, including the distant highlands of Zion National Park. It literally is "on" the cliff, situated on a layer of lava atop a sandstone cliff, just across the street from what used to be the city's airport on the west edge of town. It is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast, consisting of orange juice, a sticky bun, and fruit cup with yogurt, was delivered each morning to the room. (The room already contains a refrigerator and coffee maker with tasty coffee.) The outdoor hot tub and pool were clean and refreshing. A welcoming and helpful staff is eager to please. One must spend at least one evening to have dinner at its 5-star restaurant, which offers similarly breathtaking views, whether one eats inside or on the deck. Reservations are advised. Time your meal to occur at sunset and you will be rewarded. As you consume delicious food while taking in the panorama, you are likely to thank your guardian angel for making this possible.

If you can spend time in the area, allow at least a day for visiting Zion National Park (more if possible), and a leisurely day to visit Snow Canyon, a 15--minute drive to the north of town. During spring and fall, a picnic at Snow Canyon is hard to beat.

Room Tip: All rooms have an ample balcony with patio furniture. It's hard to go wrong.

We travel through St. George often (on our way to Colorado), and usually stay at another hotel. Our usual hotel was booked so we decided to try the #1 Trip Advisor rated hotel and we were not disappointed!

The pleasant service started when I called on the phone to set up our reservation. The attendant was friendly and efficient and seemed genuinely excited to hear we were going to be guests.

Upon check-in we were greeted warmly, and check in was quick and efficient.
We were in room 107, which was average in size, very-very clean, with a modern yet warm decor. The king sized bed came equipped with a full-size trundle bed, which was perfect for our toddler to sleep on. It's a very efficient use of space.

The bathroom is not too small and not too large with bath towels that were thick and soft. At one point I dropped the lid of my moisturizer and had to get on the floor to fetch it from under the cabinet. I am happy to report that the space under the cabinet was also super clean!

They offer a continental breakfast that is delivered to your room, literally within minutes of ordering it! It consisted of a really delicious sweet bread, yogurt with chunks of fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice. The room is equipped with a Keurig coffee machine, which is also a very nice amenity.

And did I mention the view? It is gorgeous by day and night! The hotel is situated in such a way that I believe every room has a view.

Overall, staying at Inn on the Cliff was a great value - what a find - a lovely location, great service for a really great price.

Enjoy a fun day of hiking, biking, or nature watching, then come grab a bite to eat at Cliffside Restaurant and rejuvenate at Inn on the Cliff. Sounds like the perfect day to us!

Most impressive stay we have had In St George and in most marketplaces.

The rooms were immaculate, views outstanding and beds very comfortable.

The service was excellent from front desk (thanks Jennifer) to housekeeping.

The restaurant was like having a premier chef on the Food Channel prepare your meal. The presentation, plating and quality of the food was excellent. The staff (thanks Marissa) and the chef (Vance - maybe the future Bobby Flay?) was unbelievable for such a small marketplace. The pricing for the product was so reasonable I thought they gave us the lunch menu by error.

The 5 course New Years Eve dinner was like having a fine dining experience in San Francisco.

Highly Highly recommended.
