Get to know our owners!
I am so proud and excited to introduce my parents, Tom and Dorothy Heers, and their newest creative endeavor, The Inn on the Cliff Boutique Hotel. To fully understand the amazing journey its been to create the Inn on the Cliff a little background might be helpful.
My Dad started his career as a home builder, a job he enjoyed and excelled in. However, in 1992, with my Mom by his side, he decided to follow his dream and build a theme hotel. From that dream the Anniversary Inn Hotels in Salt Lake City and Boise were born. Owning and running the Anniversary Inn from 1992-1999 helped them realized their talents were best served providing excellent accommodations to those seeking a not-so-average hotel experience. The fun and excitement of managing a successful hotel never left them.
Fast forward to 2012, they were living in Las Vegas at the time. After taking a weekend trip to the beautiful St. George area, with its perfect weather and endless recreation possibilities they decided to make the move. Still not knowing what they were going to do once they got there. Not long after they moved to St. George my Dad came across a for sale add on Craigslist of all places, for a run-down hotel and restaurant overlooking St. George.
My Dad immediately knew it had their names written all over it and that they could turn it into something amazing. Finally they knew why they had moved. Obtaining the hotel didn’t come without a price. They tried tirelessly for an entire year to purchase the property, motivated by their passion for creativity and hospitality, they never gave up and finally were able to call themselves owners of the Inn on the Cliff hotel in St. George, UT.
That’s when the real work began. Wanting to make the Inn on the Cliff available for the public to enjoy as soon as possible, construction started immediately and they worked with their crews around the clock ensuring everything was perfect. Every detail has gone through them and it has turned into a project that they are truly proud of (and rightfully so)! They really have turned this hotel into something beyond amazing.
The rooms offer a warm and contemporary style and are known for being simple and luxurious. They are beautifully decorated and contain only the finest of materials. Have I mentioned how comfortable the beds are? They definitely aren't your typical hotel beds. Not to mention the views! The views are incredible. Each room has a private balcony where you can take in all of the beauty St. George has to offer.
Stay at The Inn on the Cliff and see for yourself what I (and everyone else) is talking about. Words just don’t seem to do it justice. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
